Wywodzi si\u0119 zatem z tradycji chrze\u015bcija\u0144stwa wschodniego.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Prawos\u0142awnym, kt\u00f3rzy przyst\u0105pili do unii, pozwolono zachowa\u0107 ryt bizantyjski, j\u0119zyk liturgiczny (staro-cerkiewno-s\u0142owia\u0144ski), kalendarz julia\u0144ski, dyscyplin\u0119 ko\u015bcieln\u0105 (w tym tradycj\u0119 \u017conatego duchowie\u0144stwa) oraz struktur\u0119 administracyjn\u0105. W zamian uznali oni w\u0142adz\u0119 i autorytet papie\u017ca.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Powsta\u0142\u0105 wsp\u00f3lnot\u0119 nazywano pocz\u0105tkowo Ko\u015bcio\u0142em unickim; nazwa \u201egreckokatolicki\u201d pojawi\u0142a si\u0119 w II po\u0142owie XVIII wieku.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Obecnie <strong>Ko\u015bci\u00f3\u0142 Greckokatolicki <\/strong>(inaczej: Ko\u015bci\u00f3\u0142 katolicki obrz\u0105dku bizantyjsko-ukrai\u0144skiego) liczy w Polsce oko\u0142o 55 tys. wiernych. R\u00f3\u017cnice, kt\u00f3re wyst\u0119puj\u0105 mi\u0119dzy nim a Ko\u015bcio\u0142em rzymskokatolickim, s\u0105 niewielkie:<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u2022 w Ko\u015bciele greckokatolickim komunia \u015bwi\u0119ta udzielana jest pod dwoma postaciami;<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u2022 u grekokatolik\u00f3w obowi\u0105zuje <strong>praktyka udzielania razem trzech sakrament\u00f3w wtajemniczenia chrze\u015bcija\u0144skiego<\/strong> \u2013 chrztu, bierzmowania oraz Eucharystii (do 4 stycznia 2016 r. udzielano razem chrztu i bierzmowania; teraz dzieci przyjmuj\u0105 tak\u017ce komuni\u0119 \u015bwi\u0119t\u0105, ale tylko przed dotkni\u0119cie
